Ceramics

Ceramic art where line, shape and texture meet.

A black and white striped abstract sculpture, The Knot, made by Tove Tengå

The Knot

The Knot is a knot that can not be tied up without cutting ties, a so-called Gordian knot. The Knot symbolizes the strong bonds we have in relationships. It can be relationships between a mother and son, the relationship to a country or religion but also to our origin, nature and our planet. Bonds that are very difficult to break.

I aim to highlight and remind us of what truly holds value.

Patterns in relationships are like invisible ties –
they can keep us close or hold us back.

The ceramic sculpture The Line by Tove Tengå

The Line

The Line is a sculpture about the courage to let go of bonds that no longer serve us. It symbolizes the strength required to break free from relationships that limit our growth and well-being. The piece celebrates letting go not as weakness, but as an act of self-respect, clarity and personal transformation.
